Missing Stella already
Dang, haven't been sorrier to see an online journal vanish since the disappearance of Ophelia and Jay T.
Maybe Stella will discover she's so addicted to it, she'll reconsider. :)

Posted by Albert at October 23, 2002 09:13 AMI think I should start a site or page or something for former online journal writers to band together to fight the peer pressure of demanding readers. ;)
Does putting "Ophelia disappeared?" up as a link to Ryan's journal suggest that Ryan was writing as Ophelia Z?!
Oh, it's not just online journal writers who get pressure from admiring readers like me. Like, hey, Amy Tan, must it take so long to finish your next novel?!
"must it take so long to finish your next novel?!"
Snicker...and J.K. Rowling, too!
Stella! (said with imitation Sly Stallone voice) :)
Ali! "Sly Stallone?" You mean Brando!
(posted only in the interest of accuracy in media) ;)
::chuckle::
Mustn't...break...into...selections...from...O Streetcar!
Can't you year me yell-a
yer puttin' me through hell-a
Stella
Stella!
Darn, I was so close
Hmm. Sly Stallone was "Adrian!" right? (Don't mind me, I'm slow.)
Oh! That's it! (insert sheepish grin here) :) Yeah, what they said!
Interpol has a song titled "Stella was a diver and she was always down". Of course, the noteworthy part of the song is when the singer intones, "Stella, I love you".
As for Ophelia Z, well, even folks in Austin know about her.
Hello everyone:
I was just browsing through IMR early at work and I found my name on Ryan's Miscellaneous page. I've also emailed a few members of the community sporadically (OK, just Jeff and Greg)... to make a long story short, I'm still here in Hawaii, still working in PR and all - but I now live in Makiki (where I'm a parishioner at Sacred Heart), using a cheaper ISP for my dialup, and working on other projects outside of the blog world.
For those of you who posted in this thread: Thanks for the memories.
Until then, take care and keep in touch.
Aloha,
Stella Marie B. Torres
Stella! (I see someone else already invoked the Sly Stallone thing. Damn.) Hurrah, she lives! How do we not cross paths more often, though? We're Sacred Heart parishioners as well! Um, for another month, at least.
Glad you're doing well, in any case. Yours was among the most memorable voices here, and yes, you're still missed!
