Solaris

Went to see Solaris at Dole Canery on Saturday afternoon.

It was a toss up between this and Analyze That. I went with this movie just to see the filmaker's glimpse of the future was.

Needless to say they didn't say much about it. No idea on the year, NASA was still around and they managed to place a space station around a planet called Solaris on another solar system. No mention on how long the trip will take or where the planet was.

I gotta give credit to the filmaker for attempting to leave all this out, I don't think it would have helped with the story.

Horrible movie? Nah but this one needs to be redone better.

It would probably be interesting to compare it with the original Russian version from the 70's (available on DVD). I didn't see that one, either.
