I saw your photo in this week's Midweek, and wanted say congratulations on your promotion. Hope they gave you a big raise along with all that responsibility! ;)

Well, if he'd only update his journal once in a while, we'd be privvy to these things. *nudge nudge wink wink*

Aw, shucks. (Madnamo, it was just the vanity "Movers" section where various promotions and appointments are listed.) And the ironic thing is, I didn't want to be submitted, and my coworkers also listed were similarly longtime staffers with only slight adjustments to their positions under a new boss.

Meanwhile, the two new staffers who were worthy of mention were not included, probably because of space constraints.

I'll tell you one thing I learned quickly this week: people actually do read - or at least flip through - Midweek. I've heard from more folks on that little "Movers" blurb than I ever did when I was mentioned in a Star-Bulletin or Advertiser article. Whew.
