Where's Alex?

I'm concerned. Alex the spokesdog for CPB has gone missing. Has he been thrown out on his tail? I haven't seen an ad featuring him for a while; is CPB being disloyal to its own spokesdog? There are three video presentations of Alex listed at the bank website, but they're the same three we've already seen...the audition, the promotion, and the golf ball fetch.

Where are you, Alex? Speak up, boy!

Haven't you heard? Alex is presently in police custody, unable to post bail after being charged a few weeks ago with Defacement of a Teal Bench (HRS 502 s. 12).

FWIW, here's a story on Alex in the Star-Bulletin. A few weeks later, the dog was already attending meetings. Guess the high-flying, party-hearty life of a banker got to his head, though.

But, but...unable to post bail?? He works for a bank, for cryin' out loud! He's their Loyalty officer! Shouldn't they be loyal to him and make bail?

Damn you, CPB. I'll never do business with you again, you heartless bastards!

When I passed by the CPB branch on the 1st floor of the HSMA building on Saturday night they still had the poster of Alex on their window, as well as posters for 3 other people.

"they still had the poster of Alex on their window"

Well, to further the rumor, then the bank is coldly using the image of a dog while allowing said dog to languish in durance vile, even as the bank has it within its power to save the dog from its imprisonment. Heartless, I repeat, heartless!

You know, I always wondered if everyone else hated those CPB "loyalty dog" commercials with Alex the collie...guess it's just me.

Another bank commercial I can't stand is the one where the wokers are doing kung fu tricks... a lot of local commercials are lame, although I do like that one insurance commercial where the two guys get into an accident and one guy says he's going to be "his own eyewitness".

alright, i'm ranting...i'll shut up now.

Well, the dumbest thing about the Kung Fu ads is that the guy does backflips all the way down the room to do what? Give the customer the pen that belongs to the financial institution! If you recall, the woman throws the guy the pen.

Yeah, I know, critics everywhere...;)

At least you know that they'll go head over heels for you. :P

The reason why Alex is missing is because he is a bad dog. Here he is at the scene of the crime.

Macpro, that's lovely, and it kept to the script Ryan laid out. The more likely depiction might have been doing the deed on City Bank's board. :)
