Caucus or crocus? It's spring!

The Advertiser has a story about party fundraising today; to no one's surprise, Bush leads everybody by dint of his $750K event here earlier this year. Hawai'i's Democratic caucus is Feb. 24, when Democrats will battle for the state's 29 delegates.

Anybody here besides me going? Find your precinct here.

You know, this is the first year I even understood what the caucus process was. I'm almost curious enough to attend.

The lists of local contributors to presidential campaigns on the Advertiser site is a nice touch... but I know it's incomplete. More than a few folks I know are missing from Howard Dean's roster. It's nice to see all the $25 and $50 donors. Everyday citizens, trying to make a difference.

By contrast, look at all the big numbers on Dubya's list. Isn't $2,000 the individual limit? At that level, you have Mayor Alan Arakawa, Mr. & Mrs. Clint Arnoldus (CPB) for a total of $4,000, Earl Bakken (inventor of the pacemaker on the Big Island), Robin Campaniano (AIG), John Henry Felix, Cec Heftel... and that's only down to the Hs!

What's up with Louise Fleming, though? Gave $1,000, then changed her mind?

Went to your link, searched for crocus. Came up with bumpkiss. "No article was found matching your search for crocus."

Gee, what's the world coming to when freakin' Burpee has no crocus seeds? ;)

Upon further review of the Bush donors list, I'm ashamed to say I've worked with at least three of those people. ;)
