Summertime
Today was my personal first day of summer. Tommy, Chris, and Amber have already been on vacation since last week or earlier. And teachers’ last day at Farrington was yesterday, so that was it for Judy.
This morning, I was the only one in the house who had to get up early and go. I got out of bed quietly and dressed. Judy shifted ever so slightly. From the comforter at Judy’s feet, Rusty opened one eye, decided I wasn’t going to feed him, and closed it again. I padded downstairs, fixed myself leftovers for breakfast and a sandwich for lunch, got on my bike, and left.
I wanna sleep in late, too! Whine whine whine.

Oh, Hon–it’s actually harder to stay home with the kids than it is to work. Does that make you feel better?

Boy, that grass sure looks green over there. Yup.
