Holy crap, it’s really coming down right now. The sky isn’t usually this dark unless there’s a hurricane coming.

Just spoke with the MIL. She said you folks had 40 days and 40 nights of rain? Holy cow! We’ve been having storms here and there, some flooding, but we get some days of sunshine and warmth. Keep dry!
We set some new records - the weather service says that this was the wettest month ever recorded at many rainfall stations here. But the rain finally stopped over the weekend and we’ve been drying out. The sun is shining and we’ve got blue skies. The water in the streams is clear again instead of looking like Willy Wonka’s chocolate river, and the beaches are almost back to normal. Whew.
