Chapter 5

“Are we ready?” asked Les who then heard four yeses and one no. “Dan was that you who said no?” asked Les

“It is” replied Dan

“You still think this is a bad idea?” asked Les

“From the very beginning when we left our world” replied Dan “but it is too late to turn back now.”

“Well you can remain behind in the shuttle.” suggested Les.

“No I need to observe you working” said Dan

“You do not trust us after all this time?” asked Les

“I do but not my superiors” replied Dan “They told me to observe your team every time you go out and do a survey.”

“And what have you told them so far?” asked Les

“The truth, that we haven’t found a thing.” said Dan

“May be we will get lucky today.” said Les “We will find some thing today that change of what we know about the universe in which we live in.”

“You still believe we are not alone in this universe?” asked Dan

“Why not?” replied Les “To think that among all the those stars with planets circling around them that we are the only intelligent life forms in the universe is sort of arrogance self centered on our part.”

“You have no proof of that.” said Dan

“And either do you.” said Les

“Well that is the purpose of our mission, to find out either way who is right.” said Dan.
