“So how is the newest specimen?” asked Dan
“It is trying to reach for one of the first specimen we had collected earlier. Jel and Wen are holding the new specimen” said Les
“Why?” asked Dan
“I do not know why.” replied Les
“May be it is its offspring.” added Dude.
“I do not think so.” said Gem “It appears that the first group of specimens we collected are not life forms but rather objects that were made. Look at this object it appears to made from at least four different materials, one of which we use but I can not identify the other three materials.
“Did it make it self?” asked Les
“That I do not know but it is trying to reach for it.” said Gem “perhaps we should let it have it.”
“No, the that object could be a weapon.” said Dan.
“You do not know that.” said Les.
“Still we should not take chances.” said Dan “What about the other items.”
Gem held up a large light colored object and said, “This object is made from a material we have never seen before.”
“What does it do?” asked Les
“When we found it, it was spread out on the surface, and it could have been used to gather food.” replied Gem
“What about this object?” asked Dan.
Gem then held an irregularly shaped object; it was one of the many items that they collected on the first trip to the surface. “This object seems to be made from one of the three unknown materials that is present on the first object that the specimen is trying to reach for. It does not appear to be after this object so it must not be important to it. A lot of items that we recovered seem to be made of this material.” said Gem.
“Any idea what it is?” asked Dan
“It seems to be similar to the material we use in constructing this space ship but not as hard.” said Gem
“Any other objects?” asked Les
Gem put down the irregularly shaped object and picked up another object, this one was smaller and it had definite shape to it “This object is made of yet another material that we have never seen before and it seems to have an inside that is made of similar but thinner material” said Gem. “What makes this object interesting is the inside surface areas, they seem to have patches of dark on this light colored material.”
“What does this mean?” asked Dan
“I have no idea.” replied Gem
“Do you have an idea on this object’s function?” asked Les
“No but if you feel here you will notice how different it feels.” said Gem
“Where?” asked Les
“Here.” replied Gem
“Here?” asked Les
“Yes.” replied Gem
“Ahhhh! It hurts!” yelled Les
“You are bleeding it must be a weapon, put it away Les before it hurts someone else. Are there others like it?” said Dan.
“We recovered four other similar items” said San
Gem held another object and said “This one is totally made of the thinner material only but is layered upon it self unlike the other four.”
“Are all the items here?” asked Les
“It is” said San
“I count three, not five items.” said Dan
“Two are missing?” said Gem “that is impossible.”
“Which two are missing?” asked Dan
“I do not know?” said Gem “Dude we seem to be missing two of the items.”
“No all four items are there.” said Dude.
“We recovered five, not four I am sure of it.” said Gem
“May be the specimen took them.” said San “I will check with the specimen.”
“Be careful San.” said Dude
“You there what did you do with the items?” asked San
“I do not think it can understand you.” said Dude “But it seems to be afraid of you.”
San got closer to the specimen, a noise came from the specimen and then San yelled “Ahhhhh!!!” and fell to the floor.
“What happened?” asked Les
“The specimen attacked San.” said Gem
“That is impossible.” said Dan “Do something.”
“Dude check on San, Gem check on the specimen.”
“Ahhhhhh!” said Gem
“San is dead.” said Dude
“Look the specimen is escaping.” said Dan
“Go after it.” said Les
“Gem is dead.” said Dude.
