“So what has changed?” asked Ky’Mod
“If we can’t recover the bodies from the space ship due to interference from either the crew or the specimen then we won’t get into trouble with Gy’Well and Loo Tan Wun when we return.” said the commander.
“So now what?” asked Ky’Mod
“Par Too, Tul Wun, can the two of you set up two devices that will generate sound?” asked the commander
“What do you have in mind?” asked Par Too.
“Here is the plan, one device will generate sound in the language of the survivor, and we should have access to Task’s sound in a short while. Make him say some kind of greeting that says we come in peace, we are here to assist you, that sort of thing that you normally say when you want to make peaceful contact.” said the commander.
“And the other?” asked Tul Wun
“Standard greetings of friendship of all the possible spoken languages of the Dicon Galactic Empire, the Fodani, the Arcevar Nover, the Sidone, even De Kar’s language if she is willing to help on that matter.” replied the commander
“Do we add the language of the survivor to the second device?” asked Par Too.
“No.” replied the commander.
“What are doing?” asked Ho Hi Zun
“Trying to avoid hostile contact with either the space ship crew and the specimen.” said the commander. “Part of the problem is that we are at a disadvantage here since we have no idea how this ship is laid out, that crew knows it, and that specimen knows it as well.”
“And these devices will damage them?” asked Ho Hi Zun
“No, instead of we go looking for them, with the use of these device they will hopefully generate sounds that will attract them to it, let them come to us instead.” replied the commander.
“Do you want image and audio feedback from these devices?” asked Par Too
“If they can be ready before we get to the space ship and they are not taken from some other system, it would be nice Par Too.” replied the commander.
