Cereal
When I travel up and down the isles of my nearby grocery store, the isle that I always spend the most time in is the cereal isle. When I see all those boxes of cereal, I become somewhat of a kid again. I’ll pace back and forth looking at the many varieties of cereals, trying to decide which cereal to buy.
On occasion I’ll try a new cereal, but generally I remain faithful to a select group. My tastes tend to bounce between adult cereals and kiddie cereals, although I stay away from the high-fiber and the heavily sugared.
Few foods are as versatile as cereal. Cereal is an accepted meal, yet it borders on being a treat. Cereal is a great snack and it has a way of tasting good any time of the day or night. Instead of offering a list of my favorites, I’ll ask you; What’s your favorite cereal?

I have two favorites: Honey Bunches of Oats with Almonds and Cheerios with Strawberry and Banana!
Is oatmeal a cereal too? If so, I like the Quaker Oats plain. None of that flavored stuff, please.

Apple Jacks and Kashi Go Lean. Together.

Apple Jacks, Fruit Loops, and Fruity Pebbles. All which seem to fall into the heavily sugared group

I couldn’t agree more about the versatility of cereal. My favourites are Kellogs Cornflakes, Weetabix and Country Crisp. Best of all with a banana sliced over the top.
In fact, I’m off to the kitchen to have a bowl right now!

Newly discovered Peanut Butter Toast Crunch is my new favorite!! Other than that, old favs are Life, Cinnamon Life, Capt’n Crunch w/Berries, Peanut Butter Crunch, Honey Nut Chex cereal, and of course Honey Nut Cheereos! Going down the cereal isle makes me feel like a kid again too!
There are many times, when cereal is my dinner when I’m too tired to cook and nothing much sounds appealing. Cereal usually works well.
You can come and get a smilie fix on my comments any time you want.
Hope you’ve had a great day! *hugs*

Mine are Rice Krispies and Cheerios with a glass of milk on the side (I’ve never eaten milk on my cereal). Strange, I know.

i like honeynut cheerios and frosted flakes. in college i was very loyal to lucky charms and cap ‘n crunch, but lucky charms is too sweet for me now and cap ‘n crunch hurts the roof of my mouth! oh, but i still like rice krispies, the cereal i grew up eating.

Golden Grahams!!

Kellogg’s Special K or Cornflakes. I don’t like them too sweet, they have to have a bland flavour.

Life, and Capn’ Crunch!

I’m with Marie. I’m all about the Quick 1-Minute Quaker Oats prepared in vanilla flavored soy milk. Healthy and yummy!
Do they still make Dig ‘em Snacks? Does anyone else remember that cereal or is my memory failing me? You know…with the frog? LOL!

Good thing I came back to check. I was having trouble earlier trying to post.
Anyway, I’m with Peggy. Cinnamon Toast Crunch is my favorite, but in small doses. I usually eat oatmeal when I have cereal. Sometimes the quickie Quaker Oats instant Maple & Brown Sugar, but mostly the basic boil 2-3 minutes oatmeal with a little honey. And every night before bedtime since I was young. Everyone who knows me will tell you that!

I go back and forth too, Kane. One day it’s Cap’n Crunch and the next it’s some healthy one with my own fruit and nuts mix thrown on top. Depends on my mood which one appeals to me on any particular day.
