Inner-Voice
As far back as I can remember, I’ve had this voice inside my head. It’s kind of difficult to explain, but often after a thought comes to mind the voice automatically begins constructing and composing sentences while bouncing writing ideas off the walls of my brain. Most of those ideas quickly fade, while others remain tucked away in the corners of my mind.
This inner voice is the spark to my writing as it initially decides what form the writing will take and in which direction the thought should be expressed. Recently that inner voice became silent. Surely I could have put some sentences together and continued writing here at the blog, but I looked at the silence of the voice as somewhat of a sign to give the writing process a break until the voice once again became inspired.
I want to thank everyone for your patience and understanding during my blog-hiatus, and a special thanks to those of you that left messages and sent e-mails my way.
So what’s up? Here’s a short list of things that I’ve been up to during my break:
* Taking photos.
* Ben & Jerry’s: Ben & Jerry’s ice cream has been a salvation from the immense summer heat and humidity. I’ve become somewhat of a Chunk Spelunker in discovering all their flavors.
* Forever trying to find the cool side of the pillow.
* Keeping one eye on the Bush Administration and continually shaking my head in disbelief.
* The Daily Show: How is it possible that a half-hour comedy show can present more relevant news of the day than the 24-hour news channels? Thank goodness for Jon Stewart!
* Operation.
* Sweating: Did I mention that it’s HOT!?!

Kane’s back….YAY!!!
Say, I’m gonna play some “Operation” too, and pretend that the cartoon man is Dubya (not a stretch, the “cartoonish” part), and see if I can repair his heart…or give him one.

I’m so glad to see that you are okay. I have been going through my own writing struggles lately (in fact, I wrote about that very thing today), but I mostly just worried that you were ill or something. I have started linking my favorite writers for the day and I have been sad to not be able to link you.

Happy to see your inner voice making sentances again. Yes, it’s hot. In fact we’ve made mention more than once during the last two days that the weather here has been like Hawaii… muggy, but nice.

We’re always ready when you are! I tried to keep Dubya in line while you were gone but didn’t do too good of a job, did I?
Great to see you, Kane. You’ve put a big smile on my face.
