I Knew You When…
I’m walking home when I notice a young woman approaching on the sidewalk. Her face looks familiar, but I can’t recall how I know her. My mind automatically switches to speed-dial, trying desperately to place a name with the face. How do I know her? Did we have a class together? Did we work with each other? Did she and I do the nasty? Think, think!
When we get to about ten feet from each other, she looks up and glances my way. While I anticipated for her to recognize me, she doesn’t. We continue walking in opposite directions and in the moment that we pass each other it dawns on me how I know her. I recognized her from a photo that was posted on her blog. I almost turned and called her name, but decided it was best to let her go.

wow that’s so cool! i’ve never seen a blogger in real life… at least not the ones that put their pictures up.
but when i was in college i was introduced to someone who took one look at me and said “you’re shirleyl!” i of course had no clue who he was, or why he’d refer to me by my username instead of my actual name… so he had to tell me that he recognized me b/c he’d been reading my homepage. hehe.

I can’t help but wonder if it was me, as I was in your neighborhood yesterday exploring gardens. If so, I forgive you for not saying anything since I was a horrid sweaty mess, what with wearing the baby and the humidity and all.
I highly doubt I would recognize you- I don’t think I’ve seen a clear enough photo. If you do happen to spot me, though, please say hi or at least smile and tell me what a cute baby T is

Great story!! I’m sure that sort of things happens more and more often these days. I find it amusing to think that some random stranger walking along the sidewalk might recognize me from my photostream…and wonder if they would actually SAY something to me…lol…

Wow, that is really neat and kind of strange all at once! I suspect she would’ve been, “cool!” if you’d said Hi. I would’ve!
