Get a FREE book!

Just in case you're in the Southern California area, come by my reading tomorrow night at the Oceanside Barnes & Noble at 7 pm. If you mention you read my BLOG, I'll give you a free signed copy of BEFORE THE CITY. We need to conduct the free copy transaction out in the parking lot after the reading, where I'll have xtra copies in my trunk!

Besides reading poetry, I'll be lecturing a bit on how the poetic voice can be unleashed on a chapter in a novel or a short story. Check out the Feb. 2004 issue of LIBERTY and you'll see how I unleashed it on memoir-type material.
There's also an interesting piece by Dirk Pearson and Sandy Shaw, who recently left their Beach City of Southern California for Lonerville, Nevada.

A hui hou until tomorrow!

I came across your Dirk Pearson listing. My mom still has one of the original "life extension" hard cover books.Do you know how to get a hold of Mr.Pearson?I live in Las Vegas now and wanted to meet him. Thanks Posted by: tom scott on July 10, 2004 04:54 AM
Dear Dirk and Sandy; I am 80 years old and for some reason you two popped into my mind today. I have admired you since I first saw you "way back when" you appeared on the Merv Griffin Show. That made me a firm believer in vitamin supplements and good nutrition along with exercise. Years ago I heard you had moved into the mountains of Nevada away from the city to continue your research. I'd love to hear from you and know if you are doing any speaking and/or writing currently. I am guessing that you are now in your 70's. I give you credit for my good health and longevity. I would appreciate any reply. Sincerely, Bob Logan Posted by: Robert Logan on December 20, 2004 07:12 PM
I too had a copy of Dirk's hardcover book, and learned lots from it. Unfortunately someone else liked it too and it has disappeared from my shelves. Suffering from an acquired brain injury, I have maintained the idea that nutritional supplements are an essential to recovery, and by the comments received on my general state of well-being, it has proven itself. Miss my book. Is it possible to still get Dirk and Sandy's first book, and are there subsequent books out there? Thanks. Posted by: Robb on February 11, 2005 07:47 AM
I too would like to know if you have other books on the market. I, like the others, saw you when you appeared on the Merv Griffin show and was very impressed. I have the Life Extensions hard copy. Posted by: Rose Chesnut on April 7, 2006 07:01 AM
