MSN has upped the ante

06.26.04

In a recent press release, MSN announces comprehensive Worldwide upgrade to MSN Hotmail. MSN will not only increase mail storage on their free email accounts from 2 mb to 250 mb and increase the ability to send attachments to 10 mb, all incoming and outgoing mail will be scanned and cleaned for viruses and worms. They’ve also announced that each account will include MSN calendar for free.

I wonder how long before the GMail Team and Yahoo Mail rise to the challenge and scan all incoming and outgoing messages for viruses and worms. Decisions, decisions … What on earth will I do with all this storage anyway?

Here Comes The Judge - Literally

06.26.04

Have you ever wondered why judges use those loose-fitting black robes when they preside over cases? Well, the folks at thesmokinggun.com reveals the little secrets that lay beneath the “bench” in this article. I won’t be able to watch Court T.V. live hearings in the same way ever again.

Email Gmail

06.26.04

One night, as I did my usual surfing the different blogsites, I came upon one that said we should always make our email address available to readers as some may not want to make their comments public. The only problem I had with posting my email address was my fear of the bots sniffing out the address and then I’d get spams galore. Then I went to read Ryan’s site and saw that someone had asked about Gmail and how she can get one of the invitations Gmail users are given to invite friends to try their email service. I wrote to Ryan and offered to send her an invitation. Anyway, he had already sent one to her so I still have two more invitations to give out. The thing about the invitations is that Gmail will give you more invitations after using the initial three.

Lastnight I re-installed my photoshop to make buttons for the WordPress and Technorati links under the Credit section of the sidebar menu. I was still thinking about putting up my email address so people could mail me if they wanted a Gmail invitation. Then tonight it hit me, instead of simply typing in my email address, I made it up on a little jpg to match the fonts of the site so it blends in perfectly. I know, sometimes I even amaze myself. So if any of you want a Gmail invitation, go ahead and send me a message or leave me a note in the comment section and I’ll get one out to you. Just a reminder, your email address will not be posted for others to view.
