Summer time is here

Now that the weather is warm and the skies are clear, it’s time for us to tire Kamalani out in her swimming pool. She totally loves swimming. The MWR had tickets for free admission to Tokyo Summerland so hubby took Kamalani and Megs there on Saturday. I had him pack along the camera so he could take some pictures of their day out. I’m not a photographer by any stretch of the imagination but the pictures he took weren’t very good. But at least they’re IN the picture somewhere behind the blur. Heh.
When Megs was little, we always warmed the water before she got into her little backyard swimming pool. There were a few times my brother ran the water hose from the heater, through my hallway, livingroom and out the back sliding door to fill her pool with hot water so she’d be comfortable. I know, it’s a bit much but she’s our only daughter and she’s also the first niece/grand daughter after 7 boys. Can we say spoiled? Anyways, I have this thing about warming the pool water before Kamalani goes swimming in her pool but she didn’t want to wait for the water to warm up. She really does prefer cold water. I suppose the reason behind that is when she was little, I’d give her a very warm bath in the deep kitchen sink. The water was so relaxing that it knocked her right out. I think she remembers that relaxed feeling whenever she’s in warm water.
Well, I’ve uploaded a few pictures of her day soaking up the sun and cooling off in her pool. Click on the thumbnail to link to the gallery.
