Feng Shui Way

08.27.04

I really hate shopping. It never fails, I go into the store with the intentions of purchasing a particular item and usually leave with things that weren’t on my list. I hadn’t planned on buying these Feng Shui candles. In fact, I went to purchase a skillet. How did I end up with this? So, I wandered off track and ended up in the scented candle section. I suppose I was feeling a little tense and felt a little feng shui action would help to relax me. It could’ve been worse. So many times I had to pry myself away from those cute little table top water features because I could feel myself weakening under the soothing sounds of the trickling water. Ahhhhhhh. I guess the candles are a cheaper alternative and I can hold out on lighting the wick until I absolutely need to. I’ll light it after thoroughly cleaning the house (right before hubby returns). Ha! He’ll probably need to relax more than I will anyway.

Ohmygosh. Stress relievers–be they candles or tabletop fountains or goldfish–are my vice and weakness, too. (And I think those candles are MUCH better than a skillet. Who needs to eat? lol!)

I think you made a wise choice. I bought a fountain to put next to my nightstand, but I hardly ever use it. I burn my candles instead.

I agree about the candle being a much better purchase. When all else fails, I have a few bottles of left over beer in the icebox. ;)
