Fascinating

As much as I think I’m addicted to the internet, Kamalani is even worse than me at times. She has a folder full of child-safe links with online games, coloring pages and even greeting e-cards. The only drawback of her being online is that we normally need to sit right next to her and watch her play her games even though their interactive. There are some sites that promotes reading by reading stories to her (my personal favorite).
The other night, she was playing a racing game at Disney’s Lilo and Stitch site. She wanted me to sit and watch her play the game so I did. She likes for us to play along except when we do, she wants to tell us HOW to play it. Needless to say, we often tell her to play by herself because she’s too bossy. This night though, she was playing the game and pressed certain keys which made the car accelerate. She stared at the monitor, studying the movement and speed of her racecar. Her expression was of someone in deep concentration. She whispered, “I’m fascinating” So I asked her how was she fascinating and she replied without even blinking, “Because I’m going faster and faster.”

What a wonderful story to share.Yes,she is facinating! The joy of having children…precious!
Oh, that’s so sweet! “I’m fascinating!” lol!
How old is Kamalani? There’s a buncha reading games and links my kids go to that she might like.
(P.S. I ordered a couple catalogs from UH Press and got them in the mail today. Wow! So many great books and texts to choose from! Mahalo for the link, Lei!)
She 4 years old and comes up with the funniest things to say. ~L~
