Fright Night

For Kamalani, Fright night began on Friday. The Child Development Center had a Halloween Parade so Meg took Kamalani to participate in it. She was so excited to dress up as a Princess. She curtsied and smiled and even batted her lashes as she swayed and held her dress as if she were at a ball.
Her Papa love irritating her so he kept calling her Ariel even though he knew full well that she was dressed as Cinderella. At first she corrected him but after a dozen or so times, she just growled then ignored him while she continued to admire herself in the glass doors of the rack system. It wouldn’t surprise me in the least if Kamalani decides to become an actress.
Meg took her around the neighborhood for about two hours. When they returned home, she was so tired, she didn’t even go through her bag. She laid on the sofa and fell right off to sleep. But she was awake early the following morning to go through her goodies, she seperated them and counted each group. She was more interested in counting than she was in eating the candies. Someone had given her stickers instead of candy and she liked that even better. I think next year, we’ll hand out stickers instead of candies too. We might not be too popular with the kids but I’m sure the dentists and parents will appreciate it.
