Yuko Straightening

01.28.05

Last year, I had my hair done at one of the many salons that line the streets close to the base. I almost died when I paid the $250 bill at the end of 4 long hours of processing. In the end, I was more than satisfied with the results. Now that our time is winding down here, I’ve been checking online to see how the Japanese straightening differs from the process back home and here’s what I discovered. After reading several sites on where some certified Yuko stylists are located and the prices they charge for it, I think I’ll just adopt a hairstylist from here because I don’t think I’m ready to pay $500 - 1000 every six months. As if that’s not enough, I’d have to fly to California to get one done since there isn’t any stylist available in Washington.

i miss you

Where’s your hair’s new picture? Heh Heh :-) If I get a bill like yours I’ll probably be tripping over my own in my own shower every morning.

Hey Rich! I don’t have new hair anymore, it’s OLD and graying. I need new hair, but first I need to get creative with our household accounting … heh.

;)

If you don’t mind me asking where did you get your hair done? I have thick hawaiian hair and want to get it straightened.
