Packed out
Apr 19th, 2005 by Leimamo
Well the day has finally arrived. The movers came and packed up our household goods to be shipped to Washington. Reality is beginning to hit now that our house is nearly empty except for the clothes that are packed away in our suitcases which we’ll have to live with for the next 42 days in Japan. According to the Properties office, our goods should arrive in Washington by June 10th which means we’ll be eating, sitting and sleeping on the floor for at least 10 days. I don’t mind, the house if carpeted and I have sheets and pillowcases packed in my suitcase. I told Meg we could fill the pillowcases up with our clothes and use it as pillows until they deliver our stuff. And it’ll be summer so we won’t need any blankets.
Now all we have left to do is get the flight out to Washington. As of today, there’s nothing set up as far as us flying out of here. That’s on hubby’s shoulders, I’ve already taken care of the household shipping and accomodations prior to us leaving. I can’t schedule our final inspection, ground transportation to Narita Airport and ground transportation from SeaTac until we get the flight information so I need to keep bugging hubby to get it done.
Now that our things are packed and ready for shipment, I can finally take a few moments to relax. I recieved some pictures from my son and his girlfriend in Hawaii so I’ll be working on setting those up in the Gallery shortly. I also recieved a picture of my oldest son and his looks has changed since the last time I saw him, 4 years ago.
