Can we say Yippee!

OMG, I have been trying to figure out what was wrong with the comment pages for this theme. I couldn’t get the stupid page to show up. I worked until I got frustrated then I put it off for a few months.

My daughter was looking at the default theme one day and she said, “Mom, your site looks so plain.” That did it! I was determined to figure it out once again. This time, I went through every back-up file I had for this theme and I finally found my fuck-up. I was missing a whole line of commands. It’s a good thing I practice patience with Kamalani or this computer would’ve been thrown over the balcony of the deck.

Speaking of the deck. We need to replace some of the planks. Some of them are weak and when you walk on them, you can feel it bending and ready to crack. With my luck and my weight, I just know I’d be the one falling through it. Maybe another project for hubby to work on in the near future.

Kamalani will be starting kindergarten next week. I’m as excited as she is. The kindergarten programs here are only half days. It has something to do with lack of funds. I don’t see how that could be in the school she’s attending since majority of the students attending are military dependents and the schools get federal subsidies for each dependent child. Anyway, half day is better than nothing, I guess. It just doesn’t feel like school to me. She’ll be in school for less hours than when she was going to day care in Japan. I don’t know how they advance these children to 1st grade when they only have a fraction of a normal school day in which to learn. Go figure.

I went in for my MRI today but I couldn’t do it so they told me to get a referral to get an Open MRI. When I got home, I immediately called the base to let them know that I’ll need a new referral to this other radiology clinic in Everett. They told me I had to call the main office to get authorization. So I called for authorization and they told me I had to call the radiology clinic to see if they were going to charge my insurance company for the MRI that I didn’t have. The clinic staff assured me that they faxed the canceled paperwork to the health care manager at the base hospital. I called the main insurance office back to get a new authorization and told them what the radiology clinic had told me about the NO charge for services NOT rendered. Anyway, after about an hour of calling back and forth, I finally got an appointment to have it done on Thursday. I should ask my doctor to do a full body MRI so I won’t ever have to go through this again.

Oh, Thursday is my oldest son’s birthday. He’ll be 28 years old. Damn, he’s OLD. I know he reads this blog so I’m just going to milk his old age as much as possible. He’s soooo close to being THIRTY. heh heh. Oh wait, by the way, I had him when I was errrr .. this many *holds up 7 fingers*
