I don’t really like suprises unless it’s surprises like this.

My friend dropped it off while I was playing Mrs. Fixit at my brother’s apartment. She came over this morning to have a cup of coffee after dropping her grandson off at school. He goes to the same school as my grand daughter and I live very close to the school. She told me that she had something for me and that she forgot to bring it so she was gonna come back in the afternoon to drop it off. Surprises like this I can live with. Good friends like her I can live with too. By the way, it was every bit as delicious as it looks.

When I bought this syrup, I didn’t notice her apron was askew (all hamajang) until I had to make breakfast for Kamalani. She wanted to eat oatmeal with maple syrup. It was when I reached for the oatmeal box that I realized …
