Ack, more peaches!

07.26.06

I showed the picture of my peaches to my friend Kim. Her neighbor went to Wenachee and brought back several cases of peaches and she bought a case for $12.00. What a deal! Anyways, I gave her the library book that I used to can my peaches and she’s decided she just wants to can sliced peaches. I told her I’d help her with the slicing so she’s bringing her peaches over in a few hours.

She said she like the book because it’s very informative and she’s choosing it as her book of the month for our book club. ~L~ Speaking of book club, I need to let them know where we’ll be getting drunk on mudslides discussing this month’s book.

Someone, hand me a jacket

Ok, it’s this type of temperature changes that makes me get sick. Seriously. One (or 5) day(s) it’s so friggen hot that I’m this close to offing a few bodies and the next day I’m looking for my hoodie because it’s in the 50’s. I don’t get it, why can’t it be like 70’s all the time? That would be so perfect. I’d probably love to cook (ok, I lie — nothing will make me love cooking), I’d whistle and sing happy tunes (like Cinderella and her mice friends) while I do domestic *gag gag* stuff and I might even enjoy resusitating my dying flowers that I’ve neglected to water because I was too afraid to go outside in the heat.

And speaking of going outside. I logged on to the Ohana Lanai forum lastnight to see when the Northwesterners were going to gather again and as luck would have it, it was held this past weekend. My timing sucks. I really wanted to try out my Magellan GPS thingy and drive down to wherever it was held. Oh and of course to meet the other islanders who live in WA & OR. Dang it, maybe next year for sure. Until then, I’ll just have to settle for Moki’s photo gallery.
