Hubby went Holo Holo

About a month ago the lady who does my nails asked if my hubby fishes. I told her he hasn’t but I’m sure he’d like to try. Then she told me that her husband was looking for some guys to go on a fishing charter with him down south, near Oregon. I told her I’d ask him when I got home. I asked her approximately how much it would cost because hubby would want to know that first.
When I got home I told him about the talk I had with her and he said he’d go with her hubby. Anyway, weeks went by and I didn’t hear anything about it, then two weeks ago when I had another appointment, I asked her about it. She took my number and said she’d give it to her husband so the men could talk. We hadn’t heard from them since that day. Then all of a sudden, out of the clear blue sky, she called to see if my hubby still wanted to go on the trip. It just so happened he was out yesterday so I told her that he’d call when he got in. Well, that’s because the trip was scheduled for TODAY. Ok, not really today but they were leaving to drive there tonight and he’d need to get his stuff packed for the trip. So, we play phone tag and finally the two hubbies got ahold of each other. My hubby’s on the phone with him making a list of the things to bring then after they hang up, he realizes he’s got some shopping to do today.
This morning he got up bright and early, got his list, got Kamalani and the two of them went shopping for “charter fishing stuff”. It was great watching him get excited about this trip. He hardly does anything on his own, I usually drag him everywhere I go and he’s always surrounded by us finicky females so this trip will be refreshing for him. Kamalani wasn’t too happy about him leaving us alone, she wanted to go with him. Oh wait, it’s not that she didn’t want him to leave us alone. That lil witch, she’d have left me alone if she could go with him. Ok, back to the story. So, we got him all packed up with his musubi and fried chicken for tonight and tomorrow’s lunch. I made enough for the both of them although I’m not sure if “O” eats musubi. One thing’s for sure, it beats eating soggy sandwiches — yuck.
I’m not sure if this is the charter company they’re going with, but it’s similar since this company does Tuna fishing. Depending on how well they do, the amount of tuna they catch will more than pay for the cost of the trip. We’ll see how well they did when they return tomorrow night.
