Went to my yearly eye exam appointment. Although I was late by about 6 months, it should have been done in January. None the less I finally made it in.

Had the usual eye test. Couldn’t read the black dots. My prescription for the bifocal part needs to be tweaked up, a tad bit stonger then what it is. Bigger coke bottles. LOL

Got my eyes dialated. Getting eye drops dropped in my eyes feels so awkward. Anyway they put in dat yellow kaka stuff anden den a clear stuff. They checked the pressure, glaucoma, stuff la dat. Everything is fine.

So I get home and when I get out of the car I feel groggy. Not a problem just go straight to bed. I lie down and don’t get up for 4 hours. Dead to the world. I was out like a light. I woke up cause the phone rang but I just lied there, too tired to even move. I finally woke up. Feeling tired and not knowing what hit me. It scares me sometimes when that happens. I have this idea God might change his mine. Well he could! *L*

Husband asks if I’m ok. I’m like I was still a little out of it, I can handle but I don’t know what hit me. He says its the anesthesia. Anesthesia? The stuff they put in your eyes, works like anesthesia it numbs the nerves or whatever. Duh, thats what it was!

My first surgery ever in my life was in May ‘04, and that was my first experience of going under. It happened 3 times in ‘04. The nurses couldn’t believe that I had never had surgery. I asked if if giving birth counts. They said only if it was Ceserean. Nope, none of dat; I just shitted dem out. *L*

I know now that anesthesia zaps me. It like just takes all the energy and I’m like maybe a couple of stages before being a zombie or something. Actually it just kicks me in the ass and I feel it in my head. Hence, maybe I don’t know my head from my ass. hheheheheheheh Na-Uh?

My second surgery was the most serious of them all and they tell me all the reactions & risks and what not. After that surgery I had a reaction I never had in the first. I had these dry heaves, totally involuntary muscle spasms in the stomach from outta no where. I hadn’t eaten in 48 hrs and it freaked me out because I had never experience throwing up like that, plus there was nothing to throw up. It was like spasms from the abdomen involving the whole body. Spooky crap when you’re hooked up to IV’s and wanting to make a run to the sink or toilet. There’s NO running with IV’s.

I’m okay. I believe sleep is part of the healing processes. My body has a lot of healing to do. Actually my mind prolly needs more. *L*

Tita Lika, you rest. Complete bed rest. Your blog can wait for another story to be published. We at that age that we heal slower and every little thing bothers us. You are a brave woman and have gone through so much too. You inspire me very much. Please take care. God bless you and your family.
