Everyone has a story. But not everyone will write their story. Some of us bloggers have bits and pieces posted here because we are writers at heart first and foremost. Wether we get something published into a hard copy is another story.

In one sense its a longshot, to get something published. But I think in this day and age it may be a little easiers. And even if we don’t get a best seller written or published we still have our blogging. *L*

Over the years I’ve been encouraged to write, to publish. I use to submit poetry all the time and get rejected a lot of the times. I’ve been accepted a few times and received my two free copies.

I was the proudest about my piece of “poetry” published in UH’s Hawaii Review back in da 80’s. Its published in the one entitle MALAMA edited by Dana Naone Hall. It was my first piece published in Hawaii and I was so stoked over it. The first time I got published I told my Dad and his reply was “how much dey pay you?” I don’t think he understood, two free copies LOL if there ain’t bucks4lolo den why do it lolo, was his reaction.

There’s no money in poetry unless you’re very prolific and consistant. I’m a mood kind of person. You know its all about “da mood” yeah. *L* I think poetry was a 2o+ year binge. I sorta stop writing poetry or I’ve not been moved to write it lately.

I’ve written a few short stories like the ones posted at alohaworld.com da Hannahbuttah Days section. I’ve written a few porn pieces so Husband could win a T-shirt and subscription. So now I blog. I think the blogging has sorta satisfied the writing bug in me. BUT it has also made me think…….. (hala, dangerous thoughts bumby, LOL)

Ok yeah, I have dose funny kine thoughts (funny kine mind gotta have funny kine tinkging *L*) but its also gotten me to think; ain’t it time to write a book. (insert bookbook joke here, lol)

I read alot. I write alot. Surely I could write a book? We all have a story to tell. Hmmmm, its a profound thought. I should quit thinking and start writing THE BOOK.*L*
