My niece works 2 jobs. One is part time at a resort on da Kohala Coast. She is SpaGirl! Spa girl basically takes the appointments and such, working the front desk of the spa.

I asked her if people ask specifically for a male or female massuse, is that spelled right? Massager. You know what I mean. Anyway she says most people request a preference. She said ALL the people who ask for a male massuse, always ask “is he cute?” Her standard reply is “All our guys are cute.”

I asked her do they ask for “homo or hetero?” She cracked up. That’s descrimination. *L* Yeah and there’s no cure for ugly and anyway thats so subjective, ain’t it.

My niece said one male customer requested a male guy to DO him. *L* He also asked if the person was “hairy”. She told him none of the guys are bald. And he explained he got a massage from a guy who had “hairy” arms and it felt scatchy against his skin. eeewwl

I could never be a massuse. I would be the first person to look at a customer, roll my eyes and go EEWWLLL! Especially if the Dude was hairy. God forbid it would be a hairy women. How scary is that? I am totally turned off by the wolfman look. I’m sorry they are probably the nicest person SO they should not take their shirt/clothes off in front of me.

For the record I’ve never had a professional massage. Serious. No certifiable hands have massaged me. In this day and age thats kind of sad, huh. I do need one I know. I have this right shoulder blade/tricep recurring issue going on. The kinks need to be taken out. But I would need to be referred to someone because I won’t go to just any body, you know. I don’t know if I want a cute body? Ok yeah I do! No but more importantly is somebody male or female who lomilomis with the healing in mind, body and spirit.

I think it takes a certain personality to be a massuse. I know I don’t have that personality. I imagine a person who massages another person for a living is a person who is very centered and balanced. I’m that on occassion. BUT seeing a hairy person would not be that occassion. I think of a massuse as someone with healing hands, who uses their energy to improve the energy of the person they are massaging. I don’t have that kind of touch feely energy or strength.

I just like to touchy feely. Oh yeah, let me work on that quad! *L*
