There’s just something about being in the gym. Its that “its gonna make me healthy & all buff” feeling. Also known as a false sense of “healthiness.” LOL Just because I go to the gym doesn’t mean I’m ‘healthy & buff.’ Moe like still in that ‘wannabe’ phase. I have good intentions. Always. Yeah and how many years has that been going on?

But I figure, I’m better off going there then not. If I go to the gym I really do, do a workout so its not like I’m a total slacker. Although some may beg to differ. The hardest part about going to the gym is the actual act of dragging ones ass outta bed and getting there. Once in the estbablishment, you gotta do what you gotta do so you can leave knowing you did the healthy right thing. Oh, did I mention I’m talking about 5am, give or take some. *L* Plus if you paying for it, you may as well get your moneys worth out of it, its to your own adavantage; health wise anyway.

The new gym I go to is called Golden’s. See: www.goldensfamilyfitness.com

Its got a little bit of everything, which is pretty cool. I gotta admit though sometimes I am distracted by the racquet ball action. There’s racket ball courts that run the length of the gym and you can see people playing racquet ball.

I’m clueless as to how to play racquet ball but I imagine it was invented by a disgruntled tennis player who didn’t want run and knew how to play handball so he/she (whoever) made up a new game called racquet ball. I’m inspired to go to WalMart and get me a racquet and whack whack at some blue balls.

So far this year I’m 3 for 3; I really did go to the gym. What a good girl am I? *L* I’m feeling it too. Its that feel good achy breaky feeling. Out of no where, an area will start throbbing.

I never realized how strong I was till I went back into the gym after surgery and I couldn’t do the simplest easiest exercise. Life is a cliche: You don’t know what you have till you loose it. It freaked me out that I couldn’t do a simple shoulder shrug and that 10 lbs was heavy. Considering where my stitches were, duh. After my first surgery I couldn’t even raise my right hand over my head but I could after the 2nd one. Then again maybe I wasn’t suppose to do that but I had to wash my hair. LOL

Strength wise I am no where close to what I use to do but its not about what I use to do. Its all about what I do now.
