I don’t know if thats what you call it but today in hula class I learned how to make a finger weave lei. You use eye lash yarn or anykind of yarn and weave it between your fingers. I’ve seen them but I just a assumed you crochet them. I know how to do the simple crochet ones.

Anyways I learned a new craft today. Whenever I learn a new crafty craft I do it over and over till I’m sick of it. *L*

I had a bunch of left over yarn at home so I made like four of’em. I made a white one, a red one, a purple one and this brownish kalakoa one. I think it makes a great hat band.

All you gotta do is get two strands of yarn measure ten yards, then with both strands together you weave it around your four fingers. I don’t know how to explain it exactly. You wrap around four fingers then weave it. LOL There’s a tail and a lead, you cross the lead over the three fingers then you gotta get the yarn on bottom and flip it over the finger intertwining them. LOL Who da hell would understand dat? Duh not me. To think I took a technical writing class. *L* Way back in da day.

Anyway once the yarn is measured out, its only fast to make. Like 20 minutes or so. You can make 2, 3 or 4 strands and you twist them together.

I need to go to JoAnnes tomorrow and look for green and grey yarn. I wanna do a grey one cause it’ll look like da Spanish moss I think, what’s Spanish moss called in Hawaiian? I forget. You know it looks like a grey or white beard. I wanna do green one cause it will look maile-ish. *L* Or at least like ferns kinda sorta but not really. hehehehe
