I’ve always admired the Amish people because of their simple way of life. I’ve always admired their craftsmanship and quilts. When there was all that hype about Y2K and the end of world crap; I’ve always thought well the only ones who would survive would be the Amish because they don’t deal with electricity, computers and modern day stuff. They are steadfast in their belief and lifestyle and haven’t been sucked into the mainstream.

So its sad to know that some crazy person would be that insame to go murder little girls. Is that the devils work or what? I mean how else are the Amish people going to explain this tragedy. The mind their own business and BOOM some whacko shows up and disrupts, kills and messes up a whole communities life. Its one thing to be depressed and nutz and what have you BUT entirely another story when it comes to killing innocent kids or innocent anybody. Nobody should have to experience that kind of tragedy.

Whats up with all this killing kids business? Its like one killing begats another. Why is that these things happen…..is there an answer? Worst yet if some of these kids who have experienced this ugliness grow up and decide, oh yeah somebody did that to me so now my turn, I’m gonna kill a bunch of people too. Its an ugly vicious cycle. Wotdahellisdisworld coming to?

See, all these whackos, maladjusted, criminals, wanna kill somebody, gangstas wotevas; these are the people you need to drop off in Iraq or Afghanistan, where ever there’s a war. Drop these “wannakillsomebody” people out there and tell’um go ahead, knock yourself out. Leavem’ there too. Am I naive?

I’m saddened to hear and read that the Amish people have been sucked into this warp sense of “mainstream” America. Its sad that this story is more common then not. Its like nothing is sacred. Yet we all know LIFE is, so how come these things happen? :(

one of the factors is that these atrocities get too much media attention nationally.

I was watching CNN this morning ~ the father of the two girls said he forgave the man who did it…yeah even in death. The Amish is a forgiving people. Amazing. Simple and set their beliefs.

God Bless All of them in their time of Sorrow.

I think maybe they feel inadequate in their own lives that they must seek out those who are weaker than themselves, that being little children. I cannot imagine the pain their community is suffering right now with the loss.

I agree that those who really want to go on a killing rampage should just sign up for an all expense-paid adventure to Iraq where they can exert all their energy and rage on the enemy. But that would make too much sense, wouldn’t it?
