My daughter's boyfriend's name is Kai.  Not Hawaiian but Finnish.  Says his dad told him it means "toilet"

One of my doctors told me that his patients named their new baby Lemonjello.

They pronounce it Lay-mon-jlo</description>

I know wat u mean about mainland peeps naming dea kids Hawaiian names anden butchering da pronunciation.  Even da town of Kalama, Washington, named foa John Kalama, one Hawaiian kane.  Ova hea everybody pronounces it Ka LA-A-A-Ama, like "cat".  Finganails on blackboard dat.
