I was sicko during the new year. Just your average 3 day bug take drugs (over the counter) and stay in bed kind of sicko. Once upon a time, I would get a cold or flu and that meant I wouldn’t get again for 6 months maybe a year. That was once upon one time.
Saturday I woke up with a dry cough. By the afternoon I was in bed. That evening I had a serious fever. The kind that feels like it won’t break and it makes you toss and turn and not sleep well. I woke up in a world of hurt. My back felt so outta whack, like each vertabrate throbbing. I just had to lie still. But then I had to go shishi….. shheessh…
Then I got this brillant idea that a good hot shower would be good for my aching back. And it was, using the hottest water that I can stand I just stayed in the shower. I was thinking I shoulda signed up for Guiness Book of Records. I didn’t want to get out of da shower. But all good things must come to an end. Dang I had to get out. I hate that cold feeling of getting out of the shower after I just been steamed like one manapua.
I went WalMarting and got me Zicam, Airborne and Oscillo-watchacall it. I got carded for Zicam? Like I know how to cook it into something it ain’t. I thought it was just Sudafed and stuff like that people got carded on. I’ve been popping alot of Tylenol. Tylenol, tea and chicken noodle soup. Campbells Chicken Noodle Soup, oh and throw in a scoop of rice. Sicky comfort food from small kid time yeah dat.
The difference between this bug and the last bug I had is my aching back. I remeber getting body aches and everything but this time around its like all in my back which I think is kinda strange. Obviously a different strain of flu or whatever germ war affair is going on.
I keep hearing, “yeah everybody is getting it again.” Thats scarey, I think.
I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to go thru with my Thyrogen protocal stuff becasue of my fever but I was good to go. Accept I don’t know if my fevers are from the flu or my shot. I think its from the flu.
Anyways I write more on the Thyrogen stuff when I pau it. *L*
