It is 8:19pm ova hea and I got a call from my #1 who is very hapai due anytime kine. Although her due was is/was Oct 19, she ain’t even going last dat long. Two weeks ago she was 2cm dialate. I was like ok pretty most. NOT. Following week check up comes around. Still yet, 2cm. Stuck o’wot?
My advise to #1 - Go do splits. Like dat would help hah? hehehe
So these past two weeks everytime she calls I scream “NOW?” And all I get “NO MOM.” She went to the doctor last week and she was hooked up to monitors or whatever. The Dr. asked her if she felt anything and she told’em no. The Dr. said well you just had 1 contraction. So I told #1 maybe thats a good sign, her body doing da work and its not about pain dat a good thing. This past weekend she said she had a really sore back and she felt really bad but the next day she was fine.
I reminded her “when I was about to give birth to you….” OMG I had back labor, like there was knife in my left side and it would get cranked up during a contraction. Dats some painful memories. But watah unda da bridge yeah…..
So about 8PM #1 calls and I yell “NOW!”
“I think so MOM, I think my water broke.”
You at the hospital?
No I called the hospital and the nurse said since I’m not having contractions I should eat first cause once I come in I won’t be able to eat and so I’m cooking.
OK, call us when you go hospital.
She’s all calm and collected. She’s da real nahenahe type and not all exciteable like da Mahdah. So I thinking late tonight or tomorrow morning I should be a certifiable Tutu. I keep getting emails from one friend, “Are you popo yet?”
NOT YET pretty soon doe. Then I can go shopping. I haven’t bought any baby things for weeeks, I was waiting to find out if I need to buy dresses or jeans. I’ll let you guys know soon as I know. I pray everybody is all healthy and well, including Grandma! *L*
10PM Update: #1 is getting admitted and they are inducing labor because her water broke. So tomorrow den……\\000//
