There are days when I think my life is the worst but then I remember I'm in good health, my ohana is safe and I'm still kicking so it must not be that bad.

Cats always seem satisfied and comfortable.

Taking note of other people's crosses, and doing what we can to ease the load is compassionate, and also comforting to us, because it proves we are not alone in this world. I think it's true that a person with a lighter cross still suffers, it's wrong to just tag them as whiners. To some extent, the road of experience just keeps handing you one cross after another, some lighter, some heavier. Like a person who exercises, yeilding to that experience, dragging that cross along for a while, can make you a stronger person for it. But if you hand a weightlifter a barbell with too much weight, he buckles... thats why he needs spotters, so the bar doesn't fall on his chest and kill him. You hand a guy a cross that his life's experiences have not prepared him for, and you can bet he's going to need some spotters. Not to wax philosophical or anything... Love ya :-)
