I remember my uncle Kong Yee, who grew up on a Big Island and in China........he returned to Big Island when he was grown up and lived with our family until he passed away. Kong Yee was not real sophisticated or educated and spoke "plantation English". However, he took great pleasure in the simple and basic things in life. One of his favorite expressions to express wonder and amazement was, "Some kine!"
