I'm only responding to those that have some relevance in my life:
Local Comedian
* All time best was Rap Reiplinger, and his best album was "Poi Dog". The "Room Service" track is a classic!
Local Band
* I don't know of any current local bands, but from Hawaii's rather obscure rock n roll past my favorites have included "Sweet Marie" and "Shnazz."
For contemporary Hawaiian music, the best has always been "Cecilio & Kapono" and "Kalapana" for the times Mackey Feary was in that band.
Local Entertainer / Band
"Cecilio & Kapono"
"Kalapana"
Tourist Attraction
Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and Haleakala National Park.
Luau - private ones.
Place to See a Movie
- Signature Dole Cannery with THX Sound.
Formerly my favorite movie place was the Cinerama Theater.
Place to See Hula
- Merrie Monarch Hula Festival
(on KITV 4)
Family Attraction - probably the beach and anything outdoors and free.

"Waikiki Beach."
Tsk, tsk. :)
There is a beach in Waikiki, but there is no Waikiki Beach.

OMG, Mel!!!! "Sweet Marie"!!!! LOL!!! I loved that band! They were great! I used to hang out in their club in the International Marketplace back in the 70's!
Mahalo for the flashback.

For those who never heard of Sweet Marie:
They were a guitar rock band that sounded kind of like Jimi Hendrix and maybe a little Santana. Sweet Marie had 3 top 40 hits in Hawaii from 1970 to 1972. These were "Remember Mary," "Stuck in Paradise" and "Stella's Candy Store." Their second album is (maybe was by now) available on CD in recent years.

I have the CD and converted my vinyl copy of "Remember Mary" to MP3 on my G4.

This is fun, but most answers will be qualified by the fact that I haven't seen other "talked about" places.
Happy Hour / Pau Hana:
Indigo
Night Club:
(Not my thing)
Outdoor Bar:
Mai Tai
Local Comedian:
(Clueless on this one)
Dinner / Sunset Cruise:
(Aren't these overpriced and gimmicky?)
Local Band:
(Haven't seen many except for the over-piped ones at Mai Tai bar. Too much juice there, and pretty monotonous.)
Local Entertainer / Band:
Azure McCall, Tennyson Stephens, Rich Crandall, Bruce Hamada & Jim Howard, Les Peetz
Live Theatre:
Manoa Valley Theater
Art Gallery:
Hmmm.... tough one. I might go mainline and say the Art Academy. It's the most consistent.
Tourist Attraction:
The entire island of Maui
Luau:
I agree that the best luau are at people's houses.
Place to See a Movie:
Movie Museum
Place to See Hula:
I've seen some really good hula at my dad's former church, which is in Waianae. But yes, Auntie Genoa's is a great choice.
Karaoke
Not sure - Karaoke Hut?
Local Annual Event
Jazz Festivals (International and Jazz Blowout), Merrie Monarch
Place to Hear Live Music:
Studio 6 - is Honolulu's best-kept secret. Serious music for serious music lovers. Also, we can't forget the Neal Blaisdell for the Symphony concerts, especially the MasterWorks series.
Family Attraction:
Ala Moana Beach Park

The best music on the island is on KTUH!
LedgenDary's SoundSop on Thursdays from 9-Noon and Operation Invasion on Saturdays from Midnight-3am, the BEST music, no question. Dope old school hip hop and new underground with old school funk soul and breaks!
KTUH 90.3 FM, check it out if haven't already!
