Mid-Season Replacements
So any comments (good or bad) on the current mid-season replacements on television?
The only ones I have seen has been Dragnet and Veritas: The Quest both on ABC. They have only been on the air for two or three weeks but so far it seems to be okay.

Dragnet is on Sunday at 9pm which used to be The Practice time slot. The Practice got moved to Monday night at 8pm. Veritas: The Quest is on Monday night at 7pm. I suspect it filled in the slot where Monday night football would have been.

I tried to watch Dragnet this past Sunday, but I kept falling into the trap of comparing it to Law and Order.

Granted both series are produced by the same person but you have to wonder that both series try to tell a story using different methods. One uses voiceovers, another uses subtitles.

And did you notice the voiceover actor who does the conclusion of "Dragnet" is the same guy who does the voiceover intro of "Law and Order"?
I'm not sure I can tune into ABC for anything. It feels weird.

He also does the voice intro for Dragnet too.
