Wasn't that yesterday?

Today Alex is a month old. I'm absolutely astonished by how much he's changed and grown, even though it's not like I haven't seen it all before.

He seems like a different baby in the morning from the little thing we swaddled up the night before. Every time I come home and see him again, I feel like I've been gone for weeks. His eyes open that much wider, and sparkle that much brighter... and he howls that much louder.

The rest of the inevitable "life with a new baby" journal entry can be found here.

Ever noticed that time seems to go much faster as you get older?

I remember as a child I could not wait for the arrival of holidays such as Christmas and my birthday. Growing up seemed like eons away.

Today as an adult I usually react "what is it Christmas already??!!!?" or "gee whiz... another birthday... too soon!"

Anyway, happy 1 month to your new young one.

macpro, that's because as you get older, every additional year is a smaller and smaller fraction of your total life experience. When you're five, another year is a whopping 20% of your lifetime to date!

Happy 1-month to Alex and the Pop & Mom. Time keeps zipping by. More reason to live in each moment and cherish each second.
